Gmc Anthem?, Just got an idea...

Jul 19 2007, 04:46 PM	Learning Tone Guru Posts: 790 Joined: 15-July 07 From: Ostrava	When brosing the forums, while my hands were taking a rest, from Pavels legato lesson (ow.. my hand hurts.. :-D ) I got an idea to create some kind of GMC anthem, song, in style similiar to Collection of sins.. (or we can make CoS our anthem ).. just some crazy, yet not too complicated song (so beginner/slightly advanced of GMCers can learn it ) Yesterday we were talking in one thread about songwriting workshop, so one of these workshops could be for something like punk'n'roll song (or w/ever was CoS gengre...), that would become GCM anthem:) Then, it could be one of PR materials for GMC, as well as lesson:) Don't kill me, if its stupid idea :-P Just wanted to know your opinions PS: CoS rocks Phoenix Btw. I am just used to take inspiration from anything, that jumps in my head, when songwriting:-D With band.. we just jam, when we hear some good stuff, we stop, in 10 minutes, I am done with singing melody and with lyrics and voilá - song is born:-D but back to the topic.. no, i guess there wont be copyright issue anyway, but we can still just take, what I wrote and transform it into something new:) For example -------------- Chorus: Two voices singing - 1) Gee em seeeeeeeee (after it fades out, second voice starts) 2) We are not gay and we live to play 1) ge em seeeeeeeeeeeee (again, after it fades slowly out) 2) Just grab a pick, and double click on... Two voices at once, with every letter, drum player hits bass drum and snare: G , M, C ------------------------------ I hope, you understand, what I mean:-D it will be better, to tab it or sing it.. but still.. this idea hasnt been reviewed by any of instructors... so... But IMO i think anthems are to taken a little seriously, because it represents something very special, in this case, a great community.
