I don't think I showed these from my trip "south" (about 20 miles south from here ) this summer: More nice and interesting shots, Ben. Looking at the shot of the creek bed. Those numerous big leaf plants look similar to some plants we have here in AK in the same types of areas, along creeks and also on lower parts of mountain terrain where there is dense foliage. We call them "Devil's Clubs" and the stalks and leaves are extremely thorny and not much fun to trudge through. I think they're just "Petasites hybridus" that haven't blossomed yet. I don't recall them as having thorns
