Check these pedals out!

The Ekko 616 is an Analog Delay and it is really good at what it does! The Tech 21 Liverpool is like an overdrive but it is voiced to be like a Vox AC30 (think The Edge from U2 or Brian May from Queen).

I just recently got both pedals and decided to do a little demo of them. It's more of a demo of the Ekko 616. I don't really change many knobs on the Liverpool. I'll do that in a separate demo.

Very cool stuff smile.gif Great tones! Have you tried the software emulations of these or similar pedals?

Thanks Todd! I've used the AC30 emulation amp in POD Farm, but I think I like the Liverpool better. I'm more of a stompbox and amp type guy anyway, but the amps in POD farm are really great stuff, too!

Awesome pedals. I have Malekko Echo 300B, and it's a very cool pedal. It doesn't provide that much but, but it's definitely pristine sounding analog delay. If you like analog BB delays, it's one of the best. 616 is also excellent

you can get malekko on several places:

- fat tone guitars
- humbucker music
- proguitarshop

or a number of independent sellers.

I agree! I can't decide which I prefer....The Malekko or my MXR Carbon Copy.

Thanks Stephane! I'm using a Fender Blues Jr NOS amp for this, and a Les Paul.

I purchased them used over the internet, but you can get the Malekko from places Ivan mentioned. And you can get the Liverpool (and a number of others in the character series) direct from Tech 21 here: http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/...cterseries.html

They have Fender style, Marshall style, Mesa style, Hiwatt, Orange, etc. Great pedals!

I think Malekko is more natural, at least 300B one. MXR CC is very nice, and has modulation too, but I found it's echoes a bit cold (this is strictly subjective thing tho..).

I'm thinking that I agree with you on that. I need to spend some time playing the Malekko in a live setting and see if I can tell the diffence. I'll tell you what has some incredibly warm and natural delay. A Maxon AD9 Pro. I need to record a demo of that. It has some of the warmest delay I've ever heard!

Sounds warm and natural, but also hi-fi, since it's bright. But, for live, analog is not that mix-cutting. Digital is better for live. Analog has warmer and natural tone however, so it's about preference..
