In case you are wondering, here are the criteria for getting a custom URL on youtube.

I was curious about this myself.

Thought i'd check this myself as I recently got my 100th sub (i know, watch out pewdiepie!) but I already had my url https://www.youtube.com/c/chrisharringtongtr so not sure about the 'needing' 100 subs part.

Yup. They will shoot you a message as soon as you have eligibility. Once you get eligible be careful what you pick as it can't be changed, according to the official rules, so if you are feeling like being funny, I'd say don't be, be serious as this url will be with you for a while unless you want to start from scratch.

Not sure, but either way congrats I have two urls somehow that point to the same youtube channel.
