All right, I just now started to practice and learn sweep picking, but i ran into a problem. should I grasp the pick tightly, and sweep, or let it loose in my hand and sweep?

That's good question. smile.gif

I prefer a bit tighter grip on pick when playing sweeping, but nothing radical,
just like when you're playing alternate picking etc.
Tight enough to have good control over notes you're playing
but not too tight to get you uncomfortable while playing.
If you loose it too much you might get sloppy and uncontrolled playing,
some players DO hold it bit loose, that's is just my point of view tho. smile.gif

Perhaps you could record a video so I could be even more able to give constructive advice?

You're welcome tho. smile.gif
