If you want a Mesa and if that's the model you want then go for it.
Modern amps often sound teriffic also on lower volumes so your bar gigs should be just fine even if you can't push the amp. -------------------- My bands homepage

If I can use a Marshall 4x12 in a bar and have it nice and loud then you can definitely buy that amp !

That's a great amp, if you can buy it, I don't see why not. And who says you'll use it in a bar all the time? You never know. It won't hurt to have 100W if you can have it.

I use a dual rectifier and I use it with a Marshall 1960b cabinet. I use it in both big and small gigs and it works for me. I tried it in 100w and in 50w and the difference in volume isn't too much.... but you loose some high frequencies or presence if you use in 50w.
