Here's an interesting one? Did you ever measure, or know approximately how much all your live gear is weight? That includes guitar with case, pedalboards, cables, amp, cab, whatever you carry.

The gear is certainly not looking very attractive after the gig

I remember the time when I was lugging Marshall TSL601 combo around that weights 25KG alone, and it had single top handle. Pedalboard packed with stomps and wah, two guitars, and two bags with cables, mic, stands etc.. That was impractical -.-

My rig is pretty light. A 4U rack back with my Axe Fx Ultra and GC Pro and cables in it. I do have a Mackie Powered Monitor that is pretty heavy, but still compared to my Hot Rod Deville 2x10 and NYC Pedalhead pedalboard, I'm pretty lucky weight wise

Gibson Les Paul Custom - 5kg backup guitar - 3 kg Iron Pedal Board with pedals - 5 kg 4 long cables - 1 kg Marshall 4x12 - 40 kg Peavey 6505 head - 22 kg misc - 5kg ...all in all I got to carry over 70 kg of equipment into a club for a live show that's quite a lot! For big gigs I use usually a head and cab so that's pretty heavy, but for smaller just my trusty POD x3 and guitar, so about 7-8kilos? -------------------- Visit my:

My 2x12 combo alone is about 29K.
It's a back breaker - need to get a road case with wheels -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!

err pretty heavy when I play bass! My bass rig is about 75 kilos - 12 x 15, 2 x 10 + 400 watt head. Allow + 10 kilos for the bass / pod / pedal board. So, about 85 kilos all in! I didn't include the weight of the sack barrow I have to take with me to shift the 2 x 15... Am selling this monster for obvious reasons Man - this is what is called "A drummer intimidating bass rig!". Very cool configuration (2x15 + 2x10) tone wise, though bulky. Is that a Warwick head up there? -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Anything that has knobs and switches on it intimidates a drummer !! Brave creatures are drummers I have one joke to add to the drummers: A guy walks into a shop. "You got one of them Marshall Hiwatt AC30 amplificatior thingies and a Gobson StratoBlaster geetar with a Fried Rose tremulo?" "You're a drummer, aren't you?" "Duh, yeah. How'd you know?" "This is a travel agency." -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE
