The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Laurent, congrats on your first REC take!
Your playing is on the right track with this one (good tempo, good picking intensity) and I think that if you focus on a few details you will be mastering this one very soon. Let me list the things you need to have in mind during the next days of practice: - Cleanness: There are many unwanted noises here and there and the main reason is that you are not muting correctly the strings that you are not playing. In order to achieve it you need to use the palm of your right hand and also help yourself with the fingers of your left hand. Here you can check a vchat session in which I covered this topic: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/63056426 - Bending: Your bending is close but there are some bends that are not precise (00:27) You need to practice this technique to reach the desired notes with more precision and to feel more comfortable with the technique. This video shows essential exercises: https://youtu.be/Hh_pYY6UYIw - Vibrato: It's not there. You need to make your vibrato more notable and consistent. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey-5/ - Alternate Picking: If I can see clearly, it seems that you are doing some fingers movement with your right hand when you play alternate picking. I really recommend to avoid it and start the motion from your wrist. This can seem to be a detail now but it can be a problem at higher speed. Suggested lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...Picking-Basics/ - Dynamics: There is a lot of room for dynamics on your take and one of the things that make it more difficult is that your tone has too much distortion. Hey Laurent, great to see you in the REC zone!
 First off all, I think that it is cool that you chose this lesson which is very interesting and works on a part of guitar player's arsenal which is often neglected - dynamics! This same detail makes this lesson pretty difficult to master. When analyzing your take, I think that the most urgent fixes you need to do in your playing are in the departments of : 1. Playing clean 2. Left hand fretting dexterity and right hand picking sync 1. This take, as others noted, is full of unwanted noises. Playing clean is not easy but that "technique" alone can take your playing to the next level. It is solved by practicing the muting technique. I have also noticed that you have trouble keeping up with picking runs such as 0:17-0:22. I feel that your left hand might be slowing you down. My suggestion here would be to just do some finger fitness exercises. Such as lessons in this series: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/lessonser...ynchronization/ I think the exercises in the above lessons series would reflect profoundly on your overall comfort when playing and technique making everything smoother and easier. Overall, there are lots of details in this lesson (it is a demanding one) which require attention so my impression is that you are halfway there meaning that you got down the lesson notes and where everything goes and now need to work on the performance and techniques execution. After fixing the above, the next step would be to focus on the bending, vibrato, slides and other small details which make up the dynamics package in this lesson. Those details are really what this lesson is all about as they are your expressive tools.
