Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Hybrid Picking - Beginner by Muris Varajic

I tried to emulate Muris' tone as much as possible with a bit added distortion compared to usual.

Hey Ben smile.gif

Sounds pretty good to me mate - there are a few bends that could be stronger - the best example, in my opinion is the one at 0:37 - it reaches the pitch but it's not 'meaty' enough ... smile.gif

I think it's just a matter of breathing a bit more life in the playing, that's all, because technically, it sounds correct.

Keep rocking mate wink.gif

Cosmin

I do completely agree with Cosmin's words. We all know You are able to have good phrasing control and You do can play with a feeling (also got Your own tasty phrasing ideas). In the technical aspect this lesson well made (some tiny bending issues and some onets in the middle are a bit out of timming) but I know how hard is to play slow things in timming, while Your hand doesn't have a constant movement. Hybrid picking makes this a bit more harder.

Sounds great to me. The only thing I 'missed' was not hearing any vibrato on the big bends.. other than that, great playing smile.gif

I also think that is very good playing. Considering the facts that the guys said about - you could have a Ph.D on this subject
very soon ! smile.gif
