Here are the ones that I have found:

Schecter C-1 Hellraiser
Epiphone Les Paul and SG
Ibanez (found fixed bridge...but no EMG's)

Anyone know of any others?

Try ESP guitars, they are usually fitted with emgs.
Tron's guitar has EMGS http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SLSMGBLK biggrin.gif

The thing about being really stupid, is that there are a zillion ways to be a moron. There are usually several ways to be intelligent, given a situation, but it is a small finite number. But there are always a zillion ways to be to blithering idiot. So finding a new way to have the intellect of an artichoke is nothing to be proud of really, it is easy to do.

So true... To bad im still an artichoke haha

Depends on what you want to spend. If you got the bucks, look at a Jackson SLSMG. Same guitars Trond plays. $999.00 new, Neck-thru with EMG's. The older ones have passives so make sure if you are looking at one used that it has the 81/85 set.. smile.gif

That's pretty close to the Jackson SLSMG, it's a nice guitar indeed, and not that far from your budget. It has the volume control too close to the strings, check that out in case you don't like it so close.

I was going to recommend the new Epi SG prophecy series with EMGs and 24 frets, but if you are set on a start body then it's out of question.

There are sme other cheaper jackson models with fixed bridge and EMGs, like Jackson DKMGT.

Schecter C-1 Hellraiser would be my suggestion #1 but if you can manage to get a Jackson SLSMG like Trond for you budget (maybe used) you would get an even better guitar

I can definetly recommend the SLSMG! The playability and sound is outstanding, but i always recommend trying it first hand first because the weight of it might not be suitable for everyone. It basically weighs the same as a parker.

I wonder what makes it so heavy? My friend has a Jackson...not an SLSMG...and it is the heaviest thing I have ever played! Not really a problem though, since I only play sitting down!

Why don't you just go for the guitar that you really really like, and in case it doesn't come with EMG's just change the pickups?

That is exactly what I just did! After looking at and playing all the possible choices at Guitar Center last night...I came to the conclusion that none of them felt as good or played like the Ibanez I currently own. So...I am going to try blocking off the bridge like in MickeM's tutorial and I picked up a set of brand new Kerry King EMG 81/85's on clearance for $119!!

Thanks for all the advice guys!

I really liked the ESP H-1001 Deluxe (or maybe it was MH....w/e, i mean the more expensive one)

It even had the compensated nut. Made the guitar sound much much better.

A little off-topic but I like showing it off since most people have never heard of it. Gibson made a Les Paul Raw Power with EMG pickups for about 3 years. I picked one up used and absolutley love it. The only thing missing from it being a perfect guitar is that it has medium frets instead of jumbo frets. Tone is amazing and sounds totally different than my ESP Eclipse II with the same pickups. Mine came with a flamed maple top. Hoping it will be collectible some day.

Check it out here:
