Hey Kris. Just got a couple of questions. Firstly are you and Marcus still working on Load for life or has that one been scrapped now? Secondly have you stopped playing guitar completely now for vocals or do you still practice and stuff?
Thanks for asking Steve!
Load for life is almost finished - but unfortunately it doesn't feel 100% right... So we are going to do just like we did with "Enligtened Death" - let it rest for a while. There are parts of "Load" which we both are deeply attached to so if we don't make anything out of that tune it would feel like loosing an organ, oopsie I should stop now...
Regarding my playing - no actually I am more excited about the guitar than ever. I am currently practcing 3nps pentatonics with string skipping on my newly scalloped strat!
The last two years I have however had less time than ever to devote to the guitar - and my singing practicing has of course made guitar practcing time even more scarce. Because of this - I decided 6 months ago to discipline myself and only practice the things which I am really bad at (prior to that I use to give those things 30% of my practicing time, but now it's 100%)
This kills your confidence when practcing - but is extremely rewarding and gives quick results. Actually I feel that I am making more progress now than ever before - even though I am practicing less! Sounds like I am selling you a scam I know errm I should probably stop again...
Thanks for the reply Kris
Well that's pretty good, i mean i guess it's not how much you practice it's what you practice right? I mean i've always been told 30 mins of serious practicing on stuff you need improving on is better than 2 hours of playing stuff you're already good at.
So in the future when all the GMC updates are done are you going to be continuing lessons with your new guitar skills or going to be focusing on tracks with Marcus or both? I quite liked the sound of where load was going so that's why i asked
