Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Sack!

This lesson is a good choice for you because even playing everything well, I notice that your fingers are not very familiar with this scale runs. So I think that it's a good idea to continue practicing this one for at least a week or two.

The next goal is to be able to play both the picking and legato parts with your hands more relaxed, trying to make the legato sound consistent all the time, and making your picking precise and synchronized. I don't mean that this is a bad take, but there is still room to get more from this lesson.

Keep on the good job!

Nice!

This is a good take and we can see you put some serious practice into it.

The mistakes I hear are mostly smaller hand sync issues. These might not seem bad for now, but they will multiply as you explore more advanced lessons.

Luckily there is a good cure: You should work on relaxing your left hand. This is best done by slowing down to a tempo that is below your comfort speed, so that you can think actively about not tensing up.

While doing so, you should also try improve your left hand fretting, it should be done right next to the fretwire:

Keep up the good work, you get an 8 from me!

I think you have real potential here to make some great progress. I can see that you have a very good start. Maybe you just need a bit more practice on this. Just a pinch more practice and it will be perfect! As it is I can see you've put in a good amount of time and you are very close to a perfect pass! Good job on getting your technique up to snuff on this!
