GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Rockit Rp5's

Posted by: skennington May 3 2008, 07:01 PM

These arrived last night and I'm completely blown away! Been wanting a set of monitors for a while and decided on the RP5's and for "small time" ameture recording. 75w bi-amped power and let me say that these little rascals can get almost as loud as my 100w half stack. Very clear in the high freq., little muddy in the mids with great low freq. response. all in all i'm really pleased with this set. Can't believe the difference they make!

Will do Nemanja as soon as i get a little more time with them and i'll post it here. As far as price goes, they sell new at most gear outlets for $149 each. I bought this near mint set off of ebay for $165 + $30 shipping so $195 to my door. smile.gif

If you are considering a set of monitors i'm sure you know that there is a broad spectrum of prices. These are more entry level but still sound great!

Very nice gear, congrats. As for expensive model I believe it is clear that the whole chain should be equal in quality so getting ~2000$ monitors to go with the rest of the equipment that doesn't cost that much, is wasting money. So this is why I think Rokit's are a great choice for amateur recording purposes.

laugh.gif laugh.gif Your right Ivan, I had to move all the crap just so you could see the monitors. Oh, and there is usually a can or two close by. tongue.gif
