GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ New Guitar Instructor: Juan Cortes

Hello everybody!

I want to introduce a new amazing guitar instructor that will be recording lessons at my studio! His name is Juan Cortes and he will be covering Rock/Jazz/Fusion styles. His main influences are Brett Garsed, Greg Howe and Alan Holdsworth.




Here you have a medley of his first lessons. Check out his legato technique! He will be recording great lessons based on his approaches to this technique!

Looking forward to these lessons. I love the style......and that's a beautiful guitar. Looks like a Carvin DC 127. I used to own one of those and sold it. I have regretted selling that guitar....almost identical to yours, just a different color. But I had same electronics. Anyway...welcome!

Thanks man, this is a carvin dc 400, it's a neck through body guitar made out of 2 pieces of maple and the sides are made of alder and it has a flame maple top with the h22 humbuckers, i love this great guitar!

Great to have you here Juan - we have been thirsty for some cool legato examples. Your chops are very inspiring!

Holdsworth is a big inspiration of mine - al though I have never been able to play a single note sounding like him. Maybe that will change now! =)

Hey Ben! Thanks for your comments, and yes my legato touch its hardly,so the pick stroke its very slightly, thats made more audio quality for me! anyway i saw your videos, and you are great guitar player too, its a pleasure for me stay here in GMC!
