He plays really fast. But the song is ruined imo. I started writing an article on him some time ago. If you want to check it out: on wiki.

I agree with Muris, this is completely pointless, music is not about speed or records. If speed is all you have to offer than you don't have to offer much And by the way, this IS a fake for sure

If you speed down the video, you can see he only does 15 strokes when there are 20 notes played. Hmmm

If you speed down the video, you can see he only does 15 strokes when there are 20 notes played. Hmmm that is pretty good. most of these guys get less than 15 out of 20. these guys are like monkeys in a cage to me now, I finally learned that what teachers say here is right, don't sacrifice quality for speed, only go as fast as you can an still play well. You will never play well at speed any other way, you have to ramp up in that fashion, and be patient. Turns out, I don't know better than you guys. This is the article that impacted me. And it took Gilbert 7 or 8 years to figure it out, took me less than 2, so that is not so bad. http://www.intimateaudio.com/psycho_licks.gilbert.html This post has been edited by fkalich: Jul 30 2008, 11:28 AM |

I agree with Muris and Marcus, it's pointless musically, but there is no need to downcast his musical ability. FOr all we know he could own Malmsteen, he's trying to play as fast as he can for the world record, not an album. I wouldn't agree he could own Malmsteen, and going for world record in playing guitar is just nonsense. Ok,16th at 300bpm or som. Now go for 16th at 150bpm,2 notes on high E then 2 notes on low E string etc. There, you have a problem. -------------------- Youtube

I think that world record guitar speed is nothing to be proude of playing to fas just destroys the usic and i espacially hate those who only play one string really fast tremelo and says thats orld reord guitar seed. It is not guitar speed that is just picking speed. I mean who cant play fast on one string
