Hey fellow guitarmaniacs,
I try to writing a song (I'm not much of artist I must say ) and came up with a few riffs. But I have some questions about this one. It isn't based on anything really, I just like it then. I was wondering if this is a crappy and bad pattern?
Or I could do something with it. Which scales or chords can I use?
Thx for helping me out in my guitarmisery
Pio Jr.

Well mate I cannot tell you about the pattern because there is no rhythm in there, I supose that are all 8th notes but I only suppose I don't really know because is not notated.
The chord changes are nice but the last one stands for a D major and I think it would be great to be a minor because the changes are D5 and C#b5 and I think is cooler that those bi-chords represent: Dm and C#°7.
The scale over that could be D melodic minor/ D harmonic minor or if you don't change the major third on the last chord you could use D major.
If you have recording or a guitar pro tab maybe I could tell you more
Post audio recording of some sort for further analysis. Add bass and drums perhaps using basic VST sounds.
Look forward to it man
I just played it, and I think it can sound pretty cool, try to record it and upload so we can hear it.
BTW, you can wrap the tabs in "tab" tags so it is monospaced.
Cheers!
Ivan
You're welcome mate!
I'm glad I helped you to understand a litte more
When you upload the audio we'll talk about the results
Upload a recording, we'd all like to hear it . I'm at college at the moment so i can't play that on my guitar at the moment but i can pretty much get what it is going to sound like. I think if you put some interesting rhythms in there then you can make a cool little tune out of it. Of course it depends what kind of feel you want to go for.
If you like the sound of that particular progression try a number of different rhythms and stuff. If you are confused about how to do that then let me know and i'd be glad to give you some tips that i've picked up from various different players (including guys from here )
