I usually take the easy route and just tap in the beat using a midi keyboard. Of course you can always just grab a shuffle beat from the EZ drummer library. There are several in there. Also, I highly recommend the "midi packs" from toon track. They are really cheap and very handy.

In the midi editor you have to change the values for the note: straight to triplet... and if you want for the grid too

Just about what I was going to write - the settings in my DAW look a bit different as it's not Reaper, but all of them have this option. It might look like quarter, 8th 16th notes for instance when it comes to straight and 4t, 8t, 16t etc. for triplet feel smile.gif

Are you creating a backing track? Why not just use this?

You can only use an online youtube grabber and upload it as an mp3 track in reaper smile.gif
