Well, So I'm 99% sure I'm selling my guitar to this lad on the forums here smile.gif.

So, How would I go about doing this and about how much should it cost, to ship from, The east coast of the US and to the UK.I came out with 210 bucks as the cheapest. Anyone know if this is just.. to high or if there is a cheaper way?

Any help would be appreciated.

And how would I pack this in a box?

tj

I think you can probably get it for 160 dollars at cheapest. Just check around but make sure you have insurance on item for how much the item is worth.

Well, i would find some Tibetan monks who can walk on water, then have them wrap your guitar in silk, put it in the the ark of the covenant and carry it to the uk. but seriously, ive heard the best way to ship a guitar is in a factory box with LOTS of padding. and insurance.

It's a huge item. Sending across UK would cost about 40 dollars. All Ijchep needs to do is weigh the item somehow. Package it up and take to airmail service and get insurance on the item and send. You aint gonna get it for less than 100 dollars though I wouldn't have thought. sad.gif That's why it is only really worth it on guitars over 1000 pound

Yes there is of 17.5%. I think you can get round it though by saying on the package that the Item cost is free and then just pay over internet.

Well what do you think the dimensions of the box would be?

like 30x 15x 10?

And about 13lbs?

Thats what I guesstimated smile.gif.

30X? What dimension is that? Inches? And what guitar? My guitar weighs barely anything but a Les Paul weighs a hell of a lot.
