So lately I have been replaying the game Heavy Rain to get as many different endings as I can. And one ending, was well....Quite sad and disturbing. After I saw it I had some lyrics I scribbled down, and eventually turned into this. It all went kinda quick, wrote and recorded the whole song in about 5-6 hours, But it still came out pretty cool I think.

Musically I was trying a lot of things that don't come too naturally to me, Certain chord progressions and whatnot. And the intro solo I was really trying to nail an Akira Yamaoka feel to it (Composer for Silent Hill). And I even tried something I didnt think would work well, which was screaming/harsh vocals over a relatively soft and clean section.

Let me know what you think!

And the lyrics of course:

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Heavy Rain
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I cannot believe
In who I am
I cannot believe
In anything
A thickening darkness
Is all I know
Unbearable sadness
Is all I know

Lost to the waters of guilt
I suffer alone in my solitary shell
A worthless soul not worth saving
Pathetic excuse for life

I cannot stand
This heavy rain
I cannot take
This pain
I could not save
My own kin
I cannot save
Anyone!

My mind is falling apart
Beneath the weight of this heavy rain
I cannot bear my own sin
I am simply better off dead

The sound of rain permeates the air in the city
Lying still against the ground
Lies the body of a man who lost everything

I really like it! The lyrics sound kinda weird sometimes...but I love the guitar sound, really cool to hear such a different approach.

Sound has a very good atmosphere and harsh vocals didn't bother me. Very nice song mate! smile.gif

Well the female vocals are completely synthesized, So it doesn't always get every little annunciation quite right. Few more hours toying with it and it might be a bit better.
