Hi all! I have a simple question. How can I do to link a word to a url. What I want to do is ,for example, write "John Fruciante Style Lesson" in the forum and when you press this sentence you directly link to https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...esson/index.htm .
I saw many of you and GMC user doing this and I don't know how to do it. blink.gif

Thanks.

gabriel.-

First you press the "link" button (Our Earth with a link picture)

Then a pop up says "Enter the complete URL" so you paste in https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...esson/index.htm

Press OK to get the next URL saying "Enter name for the web page", there you write John Frusicante Style Lesson

The result after pressing OK is

John Frusicante Style Lesson

OR you can write the code for it which looks like (just add a [ before the first "url")

url=https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/john-frusciante-lesson/index.htm]John Frusicante Style Lesson[/url]

OR you can paste the link into the text as
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...esson/index.htm

Mark all of the text and press the Earth-globe-url picture, the the link you marked is defaulted so in the pop up you just enter the text "john Frusi..." and so on.

Hope one of the examples works for you

P.S I just learned than when you paste anything that says http it will automatically come as a link... lol was trying to just have it as plain text but it came up as a link always https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...esson/index.htm

And watch out for pop up blocker in your browser! I use IE and have problem with that all the time...You have to allow the pop up to display..

Just saw the thread, there's another way, almost the same, sort of inverted. biggrin.gif

You type name/word you want to link, then you mark it(hold L mouse button)
and then you press globe/link button and paste URL.

It's same as I said laugh.gif
