GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Hey Everyone!

So i found this site completely by accident, but by the looks of things this is the place to be.

I have been playing guitar for about 2 years, no lessons or any formal instruction what so ever. that being said, i feel like im a little better than i should be at this point in time, but im def. lacking in alot of areas.

navigating though this site is easy but with the massive amount of videos and what not, deciding exactly what to do is sort of a challenge. it doesnt help that while i love to play lead, i feel like if im to be a strong guitarist i need quite a bit of rythem instruction to, which makes it difficult to choose a lesson lol

anyways, glad to be here

Nate

Welcome Nate, the site can be a bit overwhelming with all the lessons, perhaps you could give us some of your short term goals? Not sure of your skill set and I see rhythm is an area you would like to develop more. Let us know where your at and the Instructors will be more than happy to help you along. Glad your here man! smile.gif

well i guess my short term goals would be to begin to increase my alternate picking speed and to get a little more sycronization (not spelled right at all) with my left and right hands. they tend to get a little out of wack when i move a little faster say at like 110 or 120 bpm.

and to sort of get my technic up to par, since i have never had a lesson im sure i do alot of things the wrong way, so id imagine re learning the right way is probably an important step
