Neoclassical Solo For Beginners, Lesson By Emir Hot |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Neoclassical Solo For Beginners by Emir Hot
Hi! Please give me feedback on phrasing and (especially) video-making techniques. Thanks! Be sure to watch it in HD1080p for best video and sound. This post has been edited by Leo Chang: Feb 26 2013, 11:06 AM |

heheh your "yeah!!" at the end made me smile! That's a really good take man! Your timing is very good, as well as your tone! There are some very little details (insecure notes & bends) but you will be able to play this one perfectly very soon. Your classical vibrato looks and sound great but I think that you should add some wrist movement to the normal vibrato to be able to do it more consistent. Check Emir's left hand movement when he does vibrato... he is not moving his finger, he is doing the movement from his wrist.
By the way the take is really good! Regarding video, I think that the quality is really good. You could increase the overall look adding more lighting since it looks a bit dark. The overall quality will increase a lot, just by adding one or two lights there. -------------------- My lessons

WOW - congratulations on your first REC take!
I really like your playing attitude and feeling. You have captured well all the small phrasing/expression nuances which make this lesson. Your sound is great! Here are some tips about the video : * Try adding as much light as possible - it will make a huge difference * Experiment with your position and video scene layout. You want to avoid "cutting" parts of yourself in the shot. Maybe sit towards the centre and move the equipment around to make a cool backdrop. You want to be the "star" of the scene! -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
