Hey Joe smile.gif (fantastic intro smile.gif

I am glad you choose to continue MTP with me. Last time we did many things and I will try to keep you busy this time around as well. In your introduction thread I decided to assign you chord vocabulary for your 1st assignment. Since you covered closed triads I have decided to move onto 4 part harmony. Check out your 1st assignment bellow

1st assignment :

- Check out 4 part harmony drop 2 voicings in G major scale part 1 HERE
- I am providing you backing track to use when recording this lesson.
- Record it, post it on Youtube and embed the link in this thread.
- Feel free to use this for your REC as well by the end of the month!

Deadline for this assignment is 9th of June!

Let me know if you got any more questions and good luck with your assignment smile.gif

Pedja,

Finally have it all figured out (they had to revert me to my old account, which is okay by me). I'm only just going to get started today but I'll have it in by the 19th.

Pedja,

I have to contradict my last statement. I just got hired and I'm working very late hours, from 3pm-3am or later today (I'm on break right now) and tomorrow. I'm going to be sleeping in for a while tomorrow and then it's off to work at 3. In other words, I don't think I'll be able to get it in tomorrow, but I know I have nothing to do on sunday so I should be able to get it in by then or monday at the latest. I've been practicing but I don't think I can do a good video on such a crammed schedule. The first string set has some tough stretches though tongue.gif Thanks for understanding smile.gif

Okay Pedja, if it's okay with you I will just try to get all three of these done by the end of june. I could use the extra few days to practice lesson 2, I bet it gets harder though, doesn't it? biggrin.gif

Pedja,

All lessons are learned, now I am just waiting to get home tonight to begin recording them. And I have my recording process streamlined and stress free since I learned to keep the video on and the audio looping til I get the correct take, a couple of videos ago. By the way, I have a new work schedule this week, which is 3pm-9pm tuesday friday and saturday. Before it was something like 3pm-4/5am those same days. And I may still occasionally be doing the 9pm-4/5am shift but not this week as far as I know. Basically my hours have been cut down a lot, but I'm okay with that because I will still make pretty good money and it won't be such a stressful job.

Anyway, just giving you an update. All videos should be in either tonight or tomorrow... also, if you want you can check out my nocturnal ballad collab entry I did with Daniel Realpe and give some feedback, Daniel's advice was very useful to me.

Hi Pedja,

Hope you're doing well. I've managed to record all three videos for you, and I'll also upload the first one which if you remember I had in another thread. Looking forward to hear your comments, I'll submit these all to the rec tonight or tomorrow. These shapes are awesomely useful, it's going to take some time for it all to sink in naturally though.

For some reason I can't understand, the last three have much quieter audio. Clearly something I did in the recording, but I don't know what.

[edit] stealth edits on #4!

Joe all those are very good and passing material definitely smile.gif
I would suggest boosting your audio in the after mix or simply recording it louder in the DAW. Other than that you are good to go. Now you have chord shapes under your fingers, it should be very useful in near future wink.gif

I will close this thread now and open July one soon!
