Ibanez makes some of the best budget guitars on the market, and judging by the specs and pricetag on that one.. it's no exception.

But one thing i would change is the pickups

That is a nice guitar...but I would probably recommend a prestige series Ibanez. They are basically what you would expect from $1500 guitar in a $800-900 guitar. Plus they have the floating tremelo which is awesome.

That v7 v8 combo gets a really bad wrap in my book. Those come in alot of the prestige models. I have them in my rga121 and they are not bad at all....imho.

Seriously.

Compaired to many stock guitars the V7, and V8s' are really good pickups..

The `Wizard II` neck on that guitar is absolutely brilliant, it's one of the fastest necks on the market. I've got one on my Ibanez RG370DX and that neck really does compare to the best of them.

Yea, theyr not the worst by far. I just think they sound a bit muddy and uncharacteristic.

I don't find them particularly muddy, but i find the highs don't cut like I want them to, I have to EQ them to really get the clarity and screaming highs like I like. Clarity/response is OK, they're not the hottest pickups around, but they are far from being the worst IMO. I've got V7/V8 in my RG550 20th.
