Hello everyone,

i'd like to say few words about me:) as u can guess i'm from poland. I've started play guitar about six years ago, and dreamed to be an amazing guitarist. But things went different way I hadn't had to much time for playing and when I was playing I didn't put too much attention on it. Now I have gathered my strengh, 've been keeping myself tide and practice few hours a day. I do make progress, but still need really good mentor. And that's why i've chosen GMC.

Why do i applied to GMC?? Becouse it's the best solution for someone who wants to learn at home how to play guitar correctly. I was checking a lot of online lessons, but everything was just a pile of... you know what laugh.gif

BTW way I'm going to enroll to the Guitar-X this or next year so if anyone is from london or by the chance attends to that school i'll be glad for any info wink.gif I believe that GMC is able to prepare me sufficiently.

At myspace.com/betterbequiet you can listen to my recordings - it was recorded few months ago:)

I hope I find a lot of friends here, exchange experience and what's the most important have a good time being here with ya. Cheers

PS. forgive me my language tongue.gif

Yet another "newb" (new, I think) joining this very cool site.

I'll go LIST style:

Things site could improve: Searches. There should be a definitive list, perhaps catagorized like this -

I. BEGINNERS -

a. Fundamentals - How to hold, pick, posture, etc.
b. Exercises & Drills
c. Basic Rhythm Methods, Styles & Techniques
d. Solo (Improvisation) Methods, Styles & Techniques
e. Jam, Play along, Create, etc.

Then In INTERMEDIATES -

I don't know because I'm a beginner hack with chop-shop jalopie fender copy made of something super heavy like ironwood -- I'm not kidding, maybe dark oak, either of which are terriblr woods to use for guitars - who's just jammed around a little with people on the beach or in garages, can jam (slog) thru an impromptu jam session, but thats about it, and have decided to actually learn how to play more formally I guess you'd say

Favorite Players - Michael Schenker, Akira Takasaki, (this guy's unreal if you haven't heard him, he's the guitarist in LOUDNESS, blows Eddie VH away although playing guitar is not a contest), Ulrich (Uli Von) Roth, Neil Gerardo, Blackmlore's solo's, Lyndsay Buckingham and Mark Laughter (sp?) are pretty good, Larry Carlton, that huy who played lead for Toto in Hold The Line, and the guy in the Knack, believe it or not. Listen to the long version of "My Sherona", the guy's got chops!!!!

thanx, regards,

Hi Russell, and welcome to the site! smile.gif

Actually, some great search-related stuff is coming up and will hopefully star arriving during the later part of the summer. Kris and I had a brainstorming and planning session yesterday and I now have a whiteboard full of plans for the site! This mainly concerns search and navigation to make the site easier to use even as the material grows, and also some really cool stuff to guide you when it comes to which order lessons should be taken and so on.

So stay tuned,
Henrik cool.gif

Edit: When I say great, I mean that there's some REALLY great, mind-blowing stuff coming up!
