Hey people, i was wondering if there is any way i can get the original drum tracks from original songs. Similar to an earlier question about backings of original songs, exept this time i just need the drums.

The thing is that we currently dont have a drummer, so id like to practice (with my band) with a drum track of the original song. Id like to know if thats possible. Is there a website for this?

thanks in advance.

well, i would, but since its the 3 of us that are practicing with it (2 guitars, 1 bass), we cant actually hear hte drums in the GP file, so thats why i wanted to get what i mentioned, that way i can burn it into a cd or put it in my ipod and connect it to a big stereo

We're not there yet ...

GP tabs are the work of whoever put them together (although the record companies are currently arguing that point) - taking someone else's freely contributed work and using it in that way is fine to discuss from a GMC standpoint (and of course GMC has no control over what you do in private, just what you discuss on its forums).

There are a number of places you can get original backing tracks re-recorded by musicians, and again, as long as they weren't originally offered for sale by the re-recorders and are now being copied, they should be fine, although again, there are probably some legal implications here, it should be ok as long as everything is free, although we could never use something like that on GMC as members pay.

I understand, but when i said original i didnt meant like, from the original record song, just the same drums with nothing more nothing less. recorded by someone else, etc.

Does anyone know of a place to get this LEGALLY ???
