Attached Imagei have been thinking about building my next guitar but i want a strat with three singles and as you can see this one is HSH so my question is do the pickups mount to the pick guard or the body? can i still have singles

The body I believe, though I could be wrong. However, even though you have the space for a Humbucker there is nothing stopping you mounting a single with extra ventilation aorund it smile.gif The pick guard will cover all that up anyway ...

fender strat pickups mount to the pickguard not the body. fender routs most of there bodys like that. iv seen some guitars that are just one big cavity.

yup, all the pickups are attached to the pickguard so you should have no problems fitting singles, as drw84215 has said, a few strats with single coils when you remove the pickguard have cavities routed to take humbuckers similar to the picture of the body you`ve got smile.gif

Strat singles are screwed to the pickguard with screws and springs. You should have no problem there. BUT see if you can somehow shield that voidness inside with some aluminium or silver foil.
