i have been thinking about building my next guitar but i want a strat with three singles and as you can see this one is HSH so my question is do the pickups mount to the pick guard or the body? can i still have singles The body I believe, though I could be wrong. However, even though you have the space for a Humbucker there is nothing stopping you mounting a single with extra ventilation aorund it The pick guard will cover all that up anyway ... -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Strat singles are screwed to the pickguard with screws and springs. You should have no problem there. BUT see if you can somehow shield that voidness inside with some aluminium or silver foil.
