Ok gentlemen. I know where your minds go when I say the word "Fantasies" so pull it back a few MPAA ratings. Learn from my mistakes and avoid getting edited wink.gif

First, I've always wanted to busk (street perform) somewhere really busy and just shred. Just have all my pedals and my drum machine hooked up and go at it.

Next, I've always wanted to defeat someone in a guitar duel ala Crossroads.

Finally, I wanna find a college library with a long study table, then on a busy day, hook my guitar up to wireless PA and play the solo to Van Halens "Hot for Teacher" while walking across said table. And if they dont kick me out by then, I'll break out into Eruption. And i figure so long as they dont try to stop me (or so long as I can outrun them) I'll just keep playing.

I plan to do all of these things in the future. I'll tell you all how my EVH stint goes

I want to get incredibly good at guitar to the point of being able to shred, and someday get in somekind of metal band, probably thrash, and make it big. And I want to play Orion in front of a huge audience with minimal screwups. biggrin.gif

PS- I was definitely expecting something a bit different judging by the title ohmy.gif wink.gif cool.gif

Hmmm, i would love to play the right hand side of MAB's double guitar while he plays the left laugh.gif

i would also love to have a giant blues jam with them old guitarists who have ungodly amounts of talent.

One more, i would love to perform with Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janick Gers of Maiden.

Lets see a guitar related fantasie........

I think we all as guitarist do this.Kick back while were listening to music and just dream that we are playing for thousands of cherring fans.

For me one i've had since a kid would be,going to a Metallica concert and being in the front row. Then for James to say to the crowd ''can any of you play guitar''.Then all kinds of people raise there hand on the floor including me.Then he points at me and ask's if i wanna jam a song with them on stage and im like hell yeah biggrin.gif

From there he lets me on stage and Kirk says i can take his place while he takes a break.James asks me what song do i wanna play?I tell him Shortest Straw and i nail it and then have the whole crowd screaming for me as i shred the solo's note for note.

Finally Metallica tells me how awesome i played that night and offer's me a record deal and the option to tour and open for them for the rest of the year tongue.gif laugh.gif smile.gif This would be a great dream come true that i have had since the mid 90's laugh.gif It could still happen you know cool.gif

In no particular order:

A guided tour round the Gibson Custom shop which ends with them saying I can choose any guitar there to take home with me smile.gif .

A 2 hour 1 on 1 lesson with each of my five favourite guitar players.

My daughter growing up to be, and recognised as, a great musician (unlike her dad on both counts rolleyes.gif ) and of course happy.

Not having to hear Jimmy Saville say 'And I fixed it for Tony' wink.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

shredmandan: Haha, I thought I was the only one with those weird and perfectly planned fantasies that leads to showing the world how great I am, nice to see you have them too! (They dock, don't they? laugh.gif )

And, guitar related fantasies.. Well, what I "dream" of the most would be just having somebody I look upto or just respect (could be any guy who plays guitar and doesn't suck basically) just compliment me. I can live on stuff like that for ages..

And, also just to be able to make some decent music!

I get 3 wishes, and one of them is to have all the talent, technique and musical knowledge of Steve Vai instantly, but still keep my unique view of music, i.e. to not just become a Steve Vai clone.

Then I guess the other 2 wishes are wealth and health, but maybe I use them for Yngwie and Rusty smile.gif

I want to go out at half-time at my college football game and play the Star Spangled Banner, rock and roll style.

That or win Kirk Hammett's Spider Guitar in an arm wrestling match.

Sounds like a good plot for "Rock Star II the shredding of mandan" Ok, it's stupid but it is late in the day here.

I'd watch it, especially if shredmandan stars.

Or they get someone like leo dicaprio to play him.
