Posted by: krau911 Apr 15 2007, 03:06 PM

As a semi newbie Stat player... I am starting to get the urge to get a single play thing.... can any of you voice options about PRS vs Les Pauls? More specfic the better regarding playability and sound/ pickups? I cant afford both!

Personally i prefer PRS, Because they are very very versatile (as are Les pauls of course!) , but they have a very unique tone and feel to them, but when choosing between a PRS And Les Paul, you dont lose.

it really doesnt matter which one you pick, theyre both great guitars.id personally choose les paul, because i love the tone of it.and i really like how les pauls look, but the PRS also looks pretty sweet....anyway, you wont lose no matter which one you get!

Either one. I have only Gibson and Fender. Would not mind having a nice PRS. Only other guitar that would interest me. However I am satisfied with what I have now. Maybe later. If you don't have a nice Les Paul, well most people do want one of those, no matter what else they have. If you go that way, get a reissue from the custom shop, get a good deal from one of the sponsor dealers of lespaulforum.com. Maybe talk to Saul at Centre City, he treated me well. He also sells PRS, and I am sure will give a good deal on those.

This guy looks pretty, and I expect I could get a better deal than this, but no, for now, I am satisfied.

Then again, 7 years ago I said I would never have more than my 6 cats, only crazy people have more than 6 cats. Have 8 now.

BTW, americanmusical treated me well, when I got my Firebird, then sent me three before I was satisfied. No problems.
