As my world turns, I'm pretty much a boring hermit crab, with a bit of social interaction. laugh.gif

Days I work:
1:20am Wake-up (alarm)
1:25am - 2:07am Let the dog out, grab breakfast, prepare for my day, head out to work.
2:30am- 1pm Work.
1:10pm - 2:00pm Watch tv/youtube, eat dinner, turn on amp
2:00pm - 3/4pm Practice the guitar.
After Guitar Practice Wind-down hour, get ready for bed.
6:00pm - 7:00pm Lay down in bed til I fall asleep and repeat the next day.

Days off:
3:30am Wake-up
3:35am Turn the amp on, let the dog out, get breakfast.
4:00am I will practice for about an hour.
5:00am I let the dog back outside. If cold I will continue to guitar.
5:00am I let the dog back outside. If it's not freezing I will go work out at the gym. (As I would like to lose some weight.)
6:30am I will finish one of the 2 activities from 5:00am, see whats happening on the internet, news/gmc/other forums.
7:00am If I have shopping I'll head out since it will just be the elderly crowd and no little kids screaming in the stores.
After Shopping Play video games for a few moments as my amp warms up.
11:00am Tend to get hungry so I get up grab something to drink and go, do I want to make food or run out for it.
After Lunch I send out feeler text messages to see if anyone wants to hang out for a few hours in the evening.
12:00pm I watch music videos on youtube, either to find new music or to see other variations of how to play, to better myself.
1:00pm-3:00pm Just chill out doing whatever.
3:00pm-5:00pm Pick the guitar back up. (Unless my hair is longer, then I have to condition it and then straighten it, stupid curls.)
5:00pm-8:00pm I hang out with my friends.
8:30pm Get ready for bed.
9:00pm Bed

@Cosmin - Note to self, I need to read more books. Movies or games doesn't count right?
Didn't Stephen Turnbull help with the creation of that pc game - Shogun: Total War? In which case, I've learn a bit of history!

@SpaseMoonkey - Wow, your an early riser, but at least must miss all the traffic! You say that it's a boring hermit crab lifestyle, maybe just throw in another activity in which case?

Due to my mum's job and my own interest, I might be able to provide some small lifestyle adjust advice. You might find you have what is known as the 'Active Couch Potato phenomenon. This is a person who goes to the gym to lose weight and get fit, but for most of the rest of the day sits down - pc, tv, working, etc. This is extremely easy to do due to most lifestyles we have with all this technology. I even tend to do it myself sometimes. What this does however, specially if you tend to slouch forward, is bounce back the exercise (so exercising becomes almost meaningless and frustratingly get nowhere). You will find weight develop around the stomach and neck areas mostly, which is extremely hard to get rid of.

It's actually quite hard to do, but a very easy solution - stand up more often and ensure you sit up correctly while sitting down. This uses the back and neck muscles to support and therefore you will find weight doesn't develop as much and loss is much easier over time - 30mins cardio a day or every 2nd day (1 standing / 1 sitting exercise). Of course diet (not staving but healthy eating and not over eating is important too).

Avoid eating too much at night, after dinner when you normally watch TV or sit down. Most weight is gain around this time period of low metabolism. Rather fill up on my mum's idea of dessert for me (Low fat probiotic yogurt with a few blueberries during the night or a probiotic protein shake such as Myofusion just before going to bed) with high quality 4x fish oil tasteless caps. Protein will keep you filler for longer and satisfied, but a huge bonus if working out. Probiotics, about 5 billion units, over 14 days will feel a difference. Omega 3 from fish oil or salmon helps with the heart and brain functions. The protein shake just before you sleep actually can even reverse weight gain during the REM stage. Some probiotics such as Myofusion might really give a kick to the stomach when first starting off on them, this will overtime calm down and feels quite good.

I just grew up on all this stuff - grown to like it. However, getting all levels correct and balanced, you will find progress easier to manage and overall better feeling/wellbeing.

Still learning all this stuff, but find it quite interesting. I'm amazed just how much small changes in my lifestyle affect me and then stacking more habits on top of those over time really added up.

I dislike how early I get up for work, but I don't mind say the ballpark of 4am, because I can get so much done without being interrupted. As for the traffic, that is spot on, there is pretty much no one out at the oddball hours when I am. Same goes with shopping.

It doesn't bother me being a hermit, work takes a toll on me since I'm there around 11 hours from arrival to leaving. So then that leaves around 12 hours of the day, lately I've pushed for more sleep as they say thats a big factor in being healthier. Today I will basically get home from work and lay down and sleep till Monday. Just because I get the least amount of sleep leading into Sunday. I slept something like 4 hours, just because I stay up slightly later on my days off.

Healthy eating, that's easy, started eating cereal/oatmeal for breakfast. Then I added in making sandwiches and taking leftovers from dinner for lunch instead of fast food. Same goes with dinner, tend to make it at home instead of fast food. Cutting a lot of the processed food out of my life. I've not only felt better since, but it helps save money. smile.gif

I have no clue man smile.gif I mean, I haven't played any computer games since 2001-2002, literally biggrin.gif I don't have time to waste on that sort of stuff... or at least I see it as wasted time. But yes, READ - definitely, as much as possible.

@SpaseMooonkey - I heard of that, kicking all processed foods out and replacing with whole grain. I believe it was Arnold Schwarzenegger who even swore by that lifestyle change, saying the processed stuff is destroying us. Also eat lots of smaller meals throughout the day (3-7), rather than just 1-2 large ones - breakfast being the most important after waking up (as the body is staving itself by then). More than 2 cups of food per serving actually expands your stomach size. So you tend to need more to feel satisfied each time.

Cosmin - Wasting time on gaming is one of my major love/hate relationships, but I don't know how I could live without it! Seems the hours can fly by and get sucked away by it however, so your lucky it hasn't caught you.

Thanks for that advice, I actually did that today. I broke my food up more. I had I want to say 5 meals today instead of 3. Also tried to drink water before I would eat or when I felt hungry. Kept reading that your body doesn't know if it's hungry or thirsty. That cut back a lot of what I thought may have been hunger pangs.

laugh.gif Thats funny you mentioned the whole grain, thats exactly what bread I just picked up this week.

@SpaseMoonkey - Your body does realise when it's fill, it's just throughout life we are taught to completely ignore this. When we are babies, we tend to stop eating as soon as fill, same deal with most young kids - we just stare, ignore or start playing with the food instead. Parents however consider this as bad, force the food down them or think it's just fussy eating and gives them a bride. Your left with 'finish your plate of meat and veges before you get any dessert, mr!' while in turn teaches us bad habits throughout the rest of our life. Stuff yourself, so you can stuff yourself some more, plus no waiting inbetween - just eat for the sake of eating. Drinking water before each meal is a really good habit, I do that as well just out of habit.

It's easy man - you just stop doing it and replace it with a healthy habit smile.gif If you want, you can try replacing it with sword practicing - it can become a hell of a game biggrin.gif Especially if you put your mind, spirit and body in it - for me, each training is a matter of life and death. I usually attack with full intent to inflict injury and defend as my life depends on it. In that way, it feels very real and you get the most out of your training session both spiritually and physically.
