Hello Gab
Below my answers to your questions ;-) - How many time have you been playing guitar? Been playing guitar for about 15years, but on a very casual level. The last 3 years, I haven't spend a lot of time on my guitar but my intentions are to play more again. - Favorite guitarists, bands and musicians. I like a lot of music genres but I prefer different kinds of metal music. Guitarists: Joe Satriani, Kirk Hamett, Joe Bonamassa, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Johnson, Eddie Van Halen, Christopher Amott Bands: Metallica, Arch Enemy, Escape the faith, System of a Down, Slipknot, QOTSA, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, and many other... - What are your guitar goals? Improve on soloing techniques. Building speed - How would you like to you see yourself in 5 years (related to music and guitar)? be able to play more difficult solo's - How many time can you play guitar each day? aprox 30minutes to an hour - Do you have playing live experience? a little bit, played some base guitar in a band when i was 17years old - Which are your strong and weak points with guitar? strong: quick learner weak: clean playing when trying to play faster - What do you know about music theory? not much, I can read tablature and can read a bit notes - Can you record videos of you playing? yes - Share here audios and videos that reflect your current playing. bad quality, but nowadays i have an audio interface via my line 6 pedal (pod X3 live) to record in good quality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqCjtND309Q This post has been edited by Clipstar: Jun 27 2016, 06:42 PM |

Hi mate, thanks for the info. I would like to see you playing a guitar solo. Is it possible to record an improvisation over any backing track?
It's also ok ff you prefer to learn and record a solo lesson from archive, like for example this one: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...nner-solo-in-d/ What do you think? -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate, good job with this one!
The overall sounds good! There are a few elements to improve here that will be playing during this mentoring program like bending (pitch), vibrato, and cleanness. ASSIGNMENT 1 Goals: - Alternate Picking Work - Working on expression elements. Task #1: The idea is start polishing your alternate picking in order to make your technique more consistent and be able to play at fast tempos. Work on this alternate picking lesson focusing on timing, cleanness and hands sync. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-workout-3/ Task #2: The second lesson for this first assignment is focused on phrasing, dynamics and other expressing elements like bending, vibrato. This is the link to the lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Ballad...s-And-Phrasing/ Exam and deadline: By July 15th you'll have to share 2 videos. - A video playing the alternate picking lesson. (5 coins) - A second video playing the ballad soloing lesson. (5 coins) Each of this videos will be evaluated (check the coins value below). You need to get at least 7 coins to pass. If you pass, we can continue, if you don't you will have a second "call". Are you in? -------------------- My lessons

Hi Gab,
I'm in, man! Looks challenging, but seems doable and is good for making my technique more consistent. I like the way you demand me to upload my video's by 15July. That motivates me, cause I need some deadline to push things, if you know what I mean ;-) Have a good vacation, and I'll post my vids by 15July. Greets, Clipstar Hi mate, good job with this one!
