Preatorians thread about his new truck gave me this idea, What was your first car? Post pictures if you have any.

Mine was this, 1985 Camaro.

In this condition laugh.gif

The key actually melted and was permanently stuck in the ignition, More rust than paint, and terrible on gas! I sold it for $800 to a friend who then proceeded to hit a tree with it! laugh.gif

Believe it or not, my first car was a 1955 Studebaker Commander like this one. Mine was dark blue. I sold it, and bought a Porsche that was a wreck. My father and I restored the Porsche and I then traded it for my first race car.

79 Trans Am. No pictures, but it was fire-red, fire-bird on the hood, mint condition. wish I still had it. wound up selling it because I couldn't afford the gas/insurance at my age.

Oh, that was a beauty!!! smile.gif

My first car was a SAAB 96 -74 like this one but white, I got it from my father who in turn got it from my grandfather, so I was the third owner and my father had did his best to ruin it for me.... biggrin.gif I had to restore it then had it painted, but it was a terrible piece of a car, no comfort, no speed and it has its gear on the wheel.....

A '47 Ford. It looked about like that when I bought it. I started restoring it, but didn't have the patience. My dad bought it from me and completed the restoration. It looked great when he got done with it.

Mine was a 1981 Jeep CJ7. I owned it about 10 years ago. It was a bugger to shift and was a vehicle that required a lot of tinkering... and I am not very mechanically sound lol. But it had a lift kit and big meaty tires and was bumble bee yellow and I loved it. I miss that jeep sad.gif Trying to find some pics...

My first was a thing like this, except it was brown.
I bought it with 2 friends to tour New Zealand in 2000
It had at least 9 seats and was a real party van smile.gif

Mine is an 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. I still have it. It runs fine. There's a bit of maintenance, here and there, that needs to be done, but it's a great car! Gets great gas mileage (i think around 25), V6 and gets out in traffic like awesome! It has a great punch!

I was driving my relatives' cars for years, until I bought this 2 months ago:

2010 Ford Fiesta.
Very similar, without the blue stripes.

+1 I have a Saab 9.3 Aero with X-Drive (not the Aero X unfortunately - but close enough)
It´s my second Saab (2 Volvos before that!) and I LOVE IT!
Was a hard time when GM ( dry.gif ) was selling Saab - but I´m sure they found a good home at Spyker!

Saab rules!

My first car however was some sort of sick joke my father played on me:

I don´t want to talk about it!!
