Depends on with genre you are most into, and playing. I believe the RG-350ex is a little bit more modern in the sound - better for metal, and music like that, while the LP is more soft and bluesy, therefor fitting better for rock, eventually hardrock, and blues and music like that.

Go for what suits you best.

I would go with the Ibanez smile.gif In my opinion it's more versatle for styles than the les paul.If your just straight up a blues and classic rock guy then maybe get the les paul .If your open to other styles though the Ibanez will be your best bet. biggrin.gif

I've heard that a non-Prestige Ibanez (or maybe just the cheap ones, perhaps just certain bridges) with a tremolo can have problems staying in tune. You should do your research on Edge III bridge.

And I understand that the other guitar doesn't have a floating bridge. And the pickup configurations (H-H vs H-S-H) are different as are the body woods and the scale lengths. So these two are really different guitars and I think you should choose according to which sound you like best.

Good luck!

Then, I guess Ibanez? Right guys?

As far as I have understood, the Les Paul is best for both rock/hardrock and blues, and I don't know if the Ibanez is good for all those three, and I don't know of many guitar players who are using Les Paul for metal to say it that way either.

So, if I have understanded it right, it is 3-1 to the Les Paul. But, go for what suits you best.

But Ibanez is definitely more versatile, and I think he should check an Ibanez how it suits him for those three styles. Maybe check different models.

Styles are not important! Important thing is - do you like the feel of the neck or not! If it's comfortable to play - it's your guitar than! You can play any style on any guitar - remember that when buying guitar! You are buying guitar to suite YOU and not the style! smile.gif

I would go for Ibanez! My first Ibanez was RG370DX and it was awesome! smile.gif

I agree with Pavel somewhat and somewhat not. smile.gif
The important thing is that you like the guitar. And you can play any style on any guitar. BUT a schred guitar suites schredding better and a bluesy guitar suits blues better. I simple love my Schecter. That's my first choise and the guitar I prefer to play, I do blues and old school rock on that too. But if I feel for an hour of two of pure blues or rock I pick up the Fender. Because of the sound AND because of the feel in the neck. If blues is your main thing I wouldn't recommend a schred machine.
