Yea its really heavy. For some reason i feel it over powers the caprison in the other guys hand. Well, but the other guy is a little low on volume too.

Adam is always a bit louder^^
It's his band and he is a class a showmaker while also the producer of their and other bands records and on top of that a killer guitarist.

I didn't like their/his new tone... He is not playing Parker because he wants to, he has a bad back that kept him from touring and he HAS to use a very light guitar and since Parkers are very thin and feature some kind of plastic neck and fretboard, his signature Parker is only half the weight of his caparison!
Not that his parker sounds bad but it sounds not as full as his previous guitars...

Also they are no longer playing 5150s/Framus Cobras but Splawn amps and I really hate Splawn! ^^

Well it sounds good, lots of distortion, but all comes clear. I cannot compare this with other stuff, perhaps if they do A/B with other guitars on the same video with same gear chain.

Hey Ivan,
Yea that would be good to have a/b, but it is difficult to find many people playing that adam D signature. I think he is the only guy who plays it. I dont see any other video of any parker with EMGs.

I like the sound to a certain extent, but it sounds too sharp in my opinion.
I don't like Parker guitars too much (and this video doesn't make it better, hehe..).
Great players, but I don't think Parker with EMGs is the best option for a metal guitarist smile.gif

Thanks for sharing though! biggrin.gif

You won't find Parker guitars with EMGs because the EMG pickups are too thick!
They don't fit the slim bodies of parker guitars so it is not possible to retrofit them with EMGs. Adam D's signature is the only Parker with EMGs in it because they are built diffrently to fit those humbuckers. Also you won't find too many soundlips of other people playing this guitar because it is EXTREMELY expensive!

Both sound pretty generic metal tones to me, nothing special really, I think the instructors on GMC get better tones from their instruments.

Whilst it only has one EMG the Vernon Reid sig also has an EMG - see here.

Expensive though - but signature guitars generally are...

Totally agree with you Zakk. They are expensive. I was just trying to get opinions from folks about the tone.

That's a very interesting fact! THanks for sharing,

Those Parker are Extremely light! My friend once dropped one to the floor and it bounced back to his hands tongue.gif really!

The tone in this vid is ok, but you can tell the lack of body a bit.

I saw this video before and was astounded by the sound from the parker, i'd really like to know what his setup is.

Adam knows his way arround a good sound since he produced all KSE records and he is also prducing and mixing for other bands like Unearth!!
Adam get's his tone from scratchy sounding high gain amps (peavey 5150/Framus Cobra/Splawn Nitro), EMG pickups in a mahagony guitar and most important of all: A tubescreamer of some sort in front of the amp!!! (usually a maxon od 808)

The tube screamer is dialed to zero gain and almost max output to boost the signal (for the insane harmonics) while going through the low end get's cleared up by going through the tubescreamer circuit. This makes the sound tight and punchy and a lot of mids on the amps make the guitarsound cut through the mix better.
