Oh he was so robbed!!!!

As a player you hate it when the goalie makes an amazing save on what you figure will be an easy goal.

Your post remined me of something I saw on youtube actually. It's a song by the Tragically Hip about a goalie actually. The video montage has some pretty nice saves and some pretty great goals. The lead singer for the band is actually a pretty good goalie.

So who do you think is the best goalie?

My vote:

Go Canucks!

I think Roberto Luongo is overrated.

Best goalie to ever play the game in my opinion...

Patrick Roy!

Roy was awesome, no doubt...as for Luongo, he carried the Canucks to the Northwest Title last year...they probably wouldn't have even made the playoffs if it weren't for him.

Oh no doubt, he is good. I just hear people say he is the best and I don't think that is true. ONE of the best, but not THE best. wink.gif

Here is another very good Goalie.

Well even though he's on the down slope of his career you can't deny the skills of Martin Brodeur. But for me Ray Emery is one of the best goalies I've seen in a while....and I'm not just saying that cause I'm a Sens fan smile.gif

As for Luongo he'd probably get a lot more recognition if he had a good team in front of him. I mean if your defense sucks and your seeing a lot of shots....well....your not gonna save them all are ya. And I think a lot of great goalies fall into this situation.

But I have to agree Roy is probably the best all time even though he did a bit to much showboating for me. Some other greats would be Hextall, Dryden, Sawchuk and Plante.

He has always been an amazing player, but this year he is having a real "break out" kind of season and is finally getting the attention that he deserves!
