Hey guys I have decided to create a Rhythm Corner once a week every Tuesday I will be posting new exercises that will help you develop timing and be in the pocket!
All Lessons will be Tabs and GP 5 files! There is only one rule: ALWAYS PRACTICE THOSE EXERCISES USING A METRONOME AT A VERY SLOW TEMPO If you not ignore ignore this rule you will harm the whole process of developing your timing! Here are three exercises to start with!
Ex.1.gp5 ( 2.05K ) Number of downloads: 161 Let me know if you have any questions or need help!!! -------------------- |

what about the picking direction? Can you elaborate. I guess the first exercise is strictly alternate picking then....? Thanks Carmine |

Alex what about the picking direction? Can you elaborate. I guess the first exercise is strictly alternate picking then....? Thanks Carmine I would suggest alternative picking for all the exercises Exactly what i need thank you Alex , you rock I am glad you like it!!! Hi Alex, first of all, nice to meet you. Thank you for this corner which is so important. It's really exciting to work with you this way. If you agree, I wish to submit you a recording of this first step at 120bpm. The third part was really tough, and I hate triplet 4th (is that the right name for the last measure ?). I've learned it by reading, so I hope I didn't misunderstand any part of it. I join also an image of your work for those who wouldn't have GuitarPro or TuxGuitar and who, as I do, don't understand anything to ASCII tabs Best regards. [attachment=27012:rhythm_corner_01.png] http://soundcloud.com/grindguer/rhythm-corner-01/s-hcL08 My pleasure! I am happy to meet you and I am glad you have decided to join my rhythm corner! You did a very good job! The first exercise was perfect When you got to the second and the third one you started to rush on triples try to practice triplets only for a while and really concentrate on the groove it will help! If you have to do it even slower and you will get it! I'll be dropping by this for sure. Cheers Alex. I'm always am in a hurry to play faster without really nailing it first at slow speeds. Guilty! Sounds good! Just practice at a slow tempo and you will sound great in no time! -------------------- |
