INTRO
In this lick, I'm using some shred style licks against a blues style backing. I'm using a modified blues scale lick which uses the same note pattern on 3 strings which makes it much easier to shred the crap out of it!! This lick is NOT about picking every single note. This lick works as a picking drill if you want to work on your picking, just go ahead and pick every single note. But for use in a solo, try to use hammer ons/pull offs, where possible. It lets the lick flow more smoothly and eliminates hiccups in delivery of the lick.
So try to NOT pick as much of this lick as you can and try to keep it flowing smoothly. You DO NOT have to play it at the same speed I'm doing. I'm just showing how it will sound once you get used to it and play it quite a few times. Eventually it will have this "vibe". Basically Rockabilly mixed with Shred.

P.S. You DO NOT have to play this lick at this speed. I realize that just impossible in many cases. You can play this lick slowly and still have it work great with the Gabe backing

NICE!!! This is a tricky lick. It's got a lot of things going on at once and it's a bit of an odd note pattern to boot and it lands on a note that isn't the root, so it doesn't resolve. It's a very fun lick to play and works great as a solo lick. It also works great as a practice lick! I'd say try to play it with your pinky during your own practice bits, also try to work the pinky in to other quick licks if you can. It's always a finger that could use the work!! But that's not a deal killer here. You played the lick well and picked it up quick and that's all that matters!!! You just..

Not one of your takes has had any sort of flaw or even anything I can think to offer advice on as your technique is spot on, your control and confidence on the instruments is truly impressive and your precision is top notch. I try to create these to be a bit challenging but your playing is so good that you don't seem to be challenged at all by these. I Hope you find them enjoyable at least Your playing really is just fantastic. I've really enjoyed watching you play these. You seem to get what I'm going for on each and every one. You keep the same points of emphasis, the same points of vibrato, etc. It's like you know exactly what I"m looking for even if it's not actually in the tablature. Impressive.

Take 1 up for scrutiny Sarge. I am hopeless at these repeated sequences, this is the one that killed me and I didn't do any QLs for a long time. Picked it up again this evening. this took about ten takes, you can see the tension in my left hand from the concentration trying to get it right. I actually managed two passes, just about.

You got it! This one is a bit of a finger twister to be sure. It combines a tricky scale inversion with a lot of back and forth inside the shape. It's not an easy bit of playing to be sure. It's easy to get finger confusion on licks like this. Working through these is very good practice though. Congrats on getting it!

Also, you are sorta guessing on the note sequence from the sound of it. If I had not written the lick I'd never know, but I did write the lick so I can hear it. Watch the vid all the way through at least once. I know you can play this!!

I know you can play this!!I got sleepy and my eyes just saw something else. I might have messed up the notes in between. I'm basically loaded with stuff to do and I'm tired to a point it's about the same as being drunk. Still, I want to keep trying

BINGO! This is NOT an easy one. It's got elements of scale inversion, and various other way of playing a given scale. To make it more complicated it's not actually one single scale. It's a combination of bits of several scales. So it's not something the fingers do on a regular basis. What's more it doesn't resolve. So it doesn't make it to a root note. Its a confusing bit of playing to be sure and you got it!!!!
