Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Beat! Great to see you here and working on this lesson! smile.gif

The overall is good but now you have to work on some details that will make this one sound even better. The first thing that I note is a very little timing issue here and there. It seems that you sometimes tend to go a bit before the beat and it makes your rhythm a bit unstable. I note this problem for example at 00:06, 00:12, 00:16, 00:26 and some other parts as well. If you check the parts marked, it's not very important but it creates a feeling of movement in your groove.

Another thing that needs some work is your bending technique. I can here some bends that don't reach the correct pitch, you bend a bit less than you should so the note keeps a little lower. This happens for example at 00:16 and 00:19. Even the bends that reach the notes are not totally consistent so I think that you should work diary on this technique. Let me know if you need an exercise for it.

Finally the other two things that you could work on this one is to polish the little parts that don't sound clear and also add some vibrato in the longer notes to give the take more feeling.

I can say that your playing is good and that this lesson is very close, just work on the things commented and your playing will move to a new level.

Keep on the good job! wink.gif

Yo Beat, this is a really good take !

As Gab says, you can polish your timing to make it sound even better yet. You can use the times indicated and try to correct these instances by playing along with Gab's original take or just by recording yourself again and listening back.

Vibrato would definitely improve this piece as well.. I know that it seems like a lot to think about when you're playing a solo but you seem as though you've got the other aspects mostly sorted so you can afford to add some vibrato now and try to see how natural you can make it sound.

The guys have definitely pointed out the main things, so I will just resume the focus points:

- isolate the moments marked by Gabi
- work on the timing and articulation aspects - bending and vibrato that is

Keep rocking!

Cosmin
