Hello GMCers

I`ve been searching the forums for this topic and although there are many posts on changing the strings and tuning to standard with a floating bridge I can`t seem to find a topic on tuning from standard to drop C (maybe I haven`t searched hard enough though). Can someone please explain how this is done? I believe that since the tension on the strings is much less that you need to adjust the screws in the back so there is less tension in the springs to make it equal. This makes sense to me. But actually applying this...should I attempt tuning to drop C then adjust spring tension? I`ve tried this with no success. I lessen spring tension and must re-tune, which I expect, but bridge falls below parallel again. Any help is appreciated!
