Hey everyone,

I ran into an old bassplayer buddy at the dealership where I was having my SUV serviced and it turned out he had a pretty decent bass for sale.
It has some wear since he has been gigging quite a bit as usual but it is in pretty good shape and plays and sounds really nice.
It has Bartolini mk 1 active pups which can also be used as passive with a flick of the little toggle switch, a 3 band eq, and the pickup selector is actually a knob so that you can blend the pickups in a more versatile way than just normal switching from one to the other, or a 50/50 blend of both.
Time to work on some funky slap and pop technique! cool.gif

Thanks Todd, I used to have an Ibby Roadstar bass myself years ago. Funny thing is, I bought this bass from the same guy I bought the Roadstar from. I sure wish I still had the Mesa Boogie 2x15 cab that I had bought from him as well back then.

Hahaa! Yeah, the video makes me want to dig in and get ta slappin too! cool.gif If your bass has skulls then it has to be badass!
Thanks Bleez. I had some new strings put on and a setup done, intonation was spot on but I had the neck adjusted just a bit and man! This thing is soooo easy to play and the new strings and a fresh battery for the active pups really made it sing. smile.gif So far I couldn't be happier with it. So what if it is a little dinged up from years of steady gigging. It feels and sounds great! smile.gif

They're also cool for production needs, when I was in my learning period (around the begining of 2000's) vsti's were terrible so I prefered to borrow one from my friends. Its got a lot better since then but unless you're going to do crazy stuff that only a computer can handle its much faster and fun to record the bass yourself.
