I used to hate the 'heavy' songs by GNR as I was so into normal rock songs. But when Nirvana came around, it just tweaked. I love their heavy songs as opposed to any other metal songs. I so wish Kurt was still alive.

I was lucky enough to see them twice! Once in Seattle before they were famous and once here in England at a Pre Tour warm-up show so there were only about 300 people there!!

Great one. He also shows how sturdy Fender guitars can be at the end laugh.gif, that's something I don't really like watching though. Seems to me that his expression at the end of the concert shows some discontent... but then again who knows what he was thinking.

One of the best bands ever.

I remember that when I bought "In Utero" some parts sounded to heavy or aggressive to my ears... so I think that Kurt's music educated my ears for powerful music.

Basically I saw 3 unknown bands.......
One called pearl jam??? One called nirvana??? and another called Radio 54
On the night the best band by far was Radio 54!!!!
Don't know why, but I've never heard of them again!!!

I'll tell the whole story one day!!

Saw Nirvana a few times:

Twice when they supported Tad and Mudhoney in London and Leeds around 1989 I think, before they went global. There were probably only about 200 of us in the audience in London and even less in Leeds and most had turned up to see Tad, who were supposed to be the next big thing.

3 times supporting Sonic Youth in Brighton and London think that was about 1990.

Last time I saw them was when they headlined the Reading Festival in 92.

Best of those? The ones before they were famous.
