Its good to combine theory with technique exercise, so I would recommend mixing in some Andrews theory lessons..

Here is the list of theory lessons structured by difficulty :

Also you can try playing different lessons on the same subjects from time to time..Just check out the "similar lessons" tab in the ones you are practicing to get some ideas..

Don' add economy picking, I suggest to add alternate picking arpeggios. You will play scales better, believe me.
I suggest this:

1. Diatonic scales and patterns - 30 min
2. Pentatonic scales and patterns - 15 min.
3. Alternate picking arpeggios - 15 min
4. Chromatic scales and patterns - 15 min

Start each pattern with downstroke and then upstroke for the second time. Use metronome. Accent every fourth note. Practice slowly(70-80-90 bpm)

Do this each day or every second time, if you don't have time, doesn't matter. You WILL improve over time if you practice correctly.

truth is im embarresed to say that even thogh everything i can play because i started unconventially i cant even pull of a basic song with chords. im having a difficulty finding the inspiration to satrt practicing them.
not many songs i like to hear need more than a couple of power chords.
any ideas? besides making myself sit down and learn them?

Chord exercises are not only for improving your chordal and rhythmic skills. They often enable you to become a better at soloing and improvising as well. By going through all the chords you will learn the harmony better, and how scales and notes you play relate to the chord progressions, no matter if it is couple of powerchords, or complex chordal progression.

I advise you to include following things in your practice routine :

- Technique study
- Theory and Harmony (reading + practical part)
- Ear training
- Recording + critique
- Chord study
- Improvising
- Songwriting
- Repertoire with songs you enjoy

Even if you had one hour a day to practice, you would be able to find way and rotate all the things I mentioned in one week. The more time that you have , better it will be and more improvement will be achieved.

Hope that helps.
