It's almost a work of art It really does take a real engineer to keep it going. It's back with audio engineer really meant "engineer" as in a guy with a soldering gun who understood capacitors and circuits, not just a knob twister with software. Not to say modern recording doesn't require skill, it does. Just a different skill set. But both require a good pair of ears
