Original lesson: Guitar Loves Piano by Piotr Kaczor

This lesson is truly amazing. It is the first time I pay any real attention to dynamics and I think I learned a lot. Huge thanks to Piotr and GMC. Self assessment: I can hear some timing issues, for example around 0:15-0:16, the descending D chord; also some unwanted sounds in the louder section, mainly from the pick accidently hitting the strings. And the last note sounds out of pitch; I might have put some extra pressure on the string...Well, I hope you like it. Cheers, -Val

Original lesson: Sweeps: Major & Minor by Lian Gerbino

The hardest lesson for me thus far. I've always been afraid of sweep picking and thought I could never master this technique (not that I'm anywhere near mastering it anyway :)) but this lesson gave me confidence that hard work will pay off. Thanks Lian and GMC for the amazing job you're doing for us aspiring guitarists! Self assessment: I can hear some synchronization problems here and there. I know they exist and will try harder to fix them. Cheers, -Val

Hello fellow noteslingers,

If you missed this:

http://concert.arte.tv/fr/blind-guardian-au-hellfest

Highly recommended. Excellent video and audio quality, a lot of close shots of both Andre and Marcus' left and right hands all in all a lot to learn just from watching, not to mention the pure joy of the performance itself!

Cheers,
-Val

Hello fellow noteslingers,

Does anybody around here have the sheet music for the Piano part of the 'Guitar Loves Piano' lesson by Piotr Kaczor?

(This one: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/guitar_loves_piano/)

I tried contacting Piotr about this, but he doesn't seem to be around.

My daughter is studying piano and I think it would make an excellent family collab if we can play this as a duo. However, I don't wanna spend too much time transcribing it -- although it would be a good exercise, I prefer playing guitar instead wink.gif

Cheers,
-Val

Original lesson: Alternate Picking Workout #2 by Darius Wave

Hi mates; this is an excellent workout and it turned out harder than I thought. You need to be very delicate with the strings, pick and all. My own assessment is that my dynamic is not perfect; some of the notes are louder, while others are quieter than necessary. I also have some timing issues, I think... Still, I hope you like it. Cheers, -Val
