Hey GMC,
I found this youtube video about eartraining: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3kC_lYLAZw&feature=user
It gets even better it comes with free software (even webbased): http://www.trainear.com/
It looks very nice made and works fine. Hope you enjoy it.

Useful tool. There are more programs like this but this concept is really good.
Pretty nice, thanks
Very interesting, thanks for sharing
hm I was suprisingly decent at that, I always thought my ears were crappy =(
Cool !!!! thanks mate, it's really interesting I hope this video can help a lot of people... including myself
I have always used to learn songs by ear, and I can tell you I've benefited from it
This film shows how the basics of you can learn a song by ear, but it gets pretty logical if you just start learning songs by ear from the start. What I mean is: I don't think you should use a program when you're at scratch, just have fun tabbing easy songs or whatever, and then try to use the programs to develop further when you're more experienced. I remember Juan Valero put up a link to this program called GNU Solfege or something like that. I would probably have become bored and completely discouraged if I started using that program when I just started playing guitar, but I had great use of it when I downloaded it because I had used to play songs by ear from before then I hope you understand
Thanks for sharing! I'll look into it
Interesting
Never been good playing songs by ear,I prefer a pick
Interesting thing, reminds me times of music school when I had a lot of such trainings with intervals.
In his instructional video he said we could download it (only 140-something K). Now i cannot find where, would be nice to run on my PDAphone (yeah i have a boring deskjob ).
Or if anyone else knows something free that runs on a windows ce- machine, would be much appreciated
