Just finished making this, I had an older one but Youtube destroyed it. So I made a much better one, with improved audio and actual voice narration in place of text.

Check it out!

EDIT

Also, full screen looks best.

Thanks guys!

Someone asked me to do one specifically for dialing in Metal tones, so I'm thinking about doing that soon.

Very well done! Handy video for anyone interested in emulation. Glad it's on the wiki! This stuff takes a bit of getting used to vids like this are way helpful.

Wonderful video! Very high quality. Yeah, it is much better. I watched your other one recently while trying this stuff out. I'm still wondering what I should do. Somebody said my sound wasn't as good with POD Farm - too PODish. He said to use impulses and my guitar would sound a lot better. Now I'm apprehensive. I wanna hear a difference between the sounds, but maybe my ear isn't as trained. I barely hear the difference. And anyway, impulses is just emulation too.

And by the way, is that MIDI bass you are using? I need to find me a good Bass vst since I'm getting sick of faking it with my guitar. biggrin.gif

I can recommend Spectrasonics Trilian, or the earlier version - Trilogy. They represent the top of the line bass VSTis.
