I have a question about the licks of the day..
Is there a way to browse past licks ?

i find it realy inspireing the idea of the lick of the day..
there could be a voting system and then at the end of the month
we could pick out the best one and making it the lick of the month,
but this is only a small direction in which im pointing i mean it would be nice if everyone would have a lick section in his profile.. maybe without videos or only with binding them to the site so the file server would not explode..
It would be motivating as well to show a little of our skills.

its only a small idea but for me at least sometimes they are inspireing. smile.gif

Awesome idea Pedro! I think it would cool to have a personal lick associated with my profile, again, if it wouln't cause a server overload... ohmy.gif

The problem with the overload.. can easy be solved. I mean the videos.. realy dont need to be on the server .. there is youtube.. everyone can upload a video with his musik to it..
Text is rarely a reason for overload tongue.gif i mean im studying software development.
Media is often the reason for it and when we swap out the media in future ideas there are many which are more doable.

All of the Lick of The Days are posted here:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/memberson...day-archive.htm

If you haven't noticed, Kris recylcles the same 30 licks over and over.

It would be nice to get some different licks - As these are manily Shred(Kirk Hammit) and some blues, and I think increasing our lick vocab is very important in deveolpment of our styles.

We don't even need a video - just a tab, and maybe an mp3 on what its supposed to sound lick

what about ogg (Ogg-Vorbis) i mean this format is by far better then mp3 and i realy think that many players are kompatible with it.. just dont know how about flash if there is a support or not.. but ogg is smaler in the same quality then mp3.. and from what i know now it has no pre-echo problem ect. the quality is better in the same bitrate.

I am relatively new to lead - and I need to build a lick vocabulary to use in my improv/solos - I would love just a document of the most common short licks for rock and blues(I grabbed the begginner licks video and have those, but need more, to build my vocab). I know there are tons of licks out there on the net, but I would like to know just the most common ones out ther(Some seem to crop up often).
