Hi Todd,

I really enjoy the Saturday video chats. My question is that I can't find the new lesson notes. Of course, I can find the regular forum based lesson notes (also linked on all your posts) & the "Knowledge Base" wiki (linked at the top of this page). The regular lesson notes & the wiki only go up to lesson 61. I can't find lessons 62 to 65 or the notes prior to the lesson (when you ask if we had a chance to look over the notes). I thought I had navigation of the GMC site but apparently I am missing this.

Gary

There is just a bit of lag getting the lessons up. It takes me a bit of time. But the good news is that
Most recent lesson is still at bit.Ly/lessonfortoday

Have you gone from lesson one to 65 already? Or just curious?

Please forgive me, Todd. I wasn't trying to rush you. It seemed you would usually ask if we had looked at the notes prior to your Saturday lesson, so I was just making sure they weren't in a different location on the forum that I may have missed. During one of the lessons, you had commented on how large the lesson notes post was getting (in fact, opening the notes sometimes bogs down & occasionally freezes up my old computer) & you mentioned the possibility of changing the lesson notes. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any of the notes because I believe your lesson notes to be an amazing & valuable tool.

I did bookmark the recent lesson on July 9th but that is a link to the "lesson for today" specific to that week & will change week to week...correct? (Because my bookmark for July 2nd disappeared after I bookmarked the 9th.) So maybe it would be a good idea for me to make a copy of the bit.ly/lessonfortoday each week until it appears in the wiki.

No, I haven't done all lessons from 1 thru 65, I was just wanting to run thru the exercises we had done over the past few weeks while they were fresh in my head, if that makes sense. I'm still working on 65c as that is still a bit of a challenge for this barely-a-notch-over-a-novice player. I plan on including your notes into my regular practice routine. I do use lesson #10 as one of my warm ups. I consider that a warm up for the brain so that it can "talk" w/the fingers, if you know what I mean. I am truly amazed at the progress (not only speed but precision, as well) I have made with just that one exercise.

Please DO NOT rush getting the lesson notes up because of my post. I do understand that the preparation you do for these lessons takes a lot of time.

Thank you very much!

Gary

No worries smile.gif I"ll get the lessons over on the thread so Fran can put them on the wikki. I"ve been making the lessons more and more involved as we've gone so each now has a wad of files with it making the transfer a bit more time consuming. I always try to put the lesson for Sat up on Friday or early Saturday at the lates so that folks can have a peek. It will always be at

http://bit.ly/lessonfortoday

then it will get moved later in the week. Also, I"ll usually post preview videos, if available, in the forums. To give folks some idea of what's ahead.

But I"m glad you mentioned it or I'd just plow ahead and focus on next week's lesson perhaps a bit much at the expense of the previous weeks. When I transfer them, it also helps me to review and plan based on what we just did. So thanks for mentioning/reminding me.

Hope you can make it Sat! smile.gif
