Finally got some time to sit down and record/write some stuff for the Bogner pedals that our local distributor so kindly gave me to review.

Here's the first one!

http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/08/18/b...-boom-in-a-box/

Hope someone finds it helpful! smile.gif

I actually ended up using the Scuffham Amps S-Gear (as I mentioned in my plugin post) as the base tone for running the Uber pedal into - pretty happy with the results! I think it sounds great... hopefully you do to, haha. Not sure if it's the "right" type of stuff to be playing for an Uber demo, but I just kinda play the kind of heavy/metal stuff that I like and can relate to tongue.gif

Wow! Very nice man! biggrin.gif

Thank you for sharing this with us - I have tried the Ecstasy amp about 5 years ago and I remember being blown away!

Oh man, the Ecstasy pedals have SO many mini switches on them I don't even know where to begin, haha! They claim to cover voicings and tones of the various versions of the Ecstasy over the years... sadly I haven't had the chance to play all of those versions! I've jammed through a 101b previously and it was just such nice tone - completely different sort of vibe to the brutal Uber though. More old school hot rodded high gain.

I haven't tried this one but they look so good. Thanks for the article. I finally ended reading this one too:

Unfortunately the samples are not working now. I ordered the California via Ebay but it never arrived so I can't give my comments about this clones....

Hey, thanks for checking it out Gabriel!

I just checked, the clips seem to be working - if it happens again (for any of you guys!) please PM me with what went wrong so I can try and fix it smile.gif Even though my IT knowledge is like zero, hahaha.

I found the Joyo stuff was maybe about 80% similar to the original pedals... and for the price you can't really complain. Sucks that yours didn't turn up in the end though!

Exactly! That's what I felt, especially because I had the occasion of testing my good friend's Mesa Roadking right after - that one felt more... I don't know how to say it, but I think I liked it better. The only thing that I dislike about Mesa, is the fact that the tone feels like it'll slip out of your hand at any given moment if you are not careful on controlling it - does that make sense?

yeah, the price is around 25% or less, so it's business if you want it just for fun or as a back up.

Tried the black one @ the guitar shop nearby and was very impressed. That's a TON of tone stuffed in a pedal. It's not a 2k head but it's sure sounds darn nice! Very similar tone profile to the big heads and gain response. In short, top notch quality and tone. Your review is KILLER btw and the scuff plugin sounds KILLER on bass!! I hadn't tried that but I wil now!!

The new scuff beta is only a couple days away, just heard back from them. Can't wait to try it out!!
