Anyone watched this?
Quite a nice documentary about a band struggling with a record company lawsuit whilst recording an album.
Lucky that whilst the band finances might be dire, Jared is sitting pretty, and how pretty he is
I've heard it's pretty great.
There are a couple of bands who have made similar docs talking about their struggles with labels. A band I have some associations with, The Damnwells, had an album with a lot of push behind it, and it fell apart.
Also, say what you will about the band, but Hanson has a good one as well talking about their 3rd album and how they ended up going independent.
Check out the first episode:
The Hanson one is awesome. I think they're a great pop band, with outstanding harmonies. The fact that you see them co-writing with Matthew Sweet in the documentary is awesome he released some of the best power pop of the 90's
